Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican musician who was born into a musical family. Her childhood was spent listening to classical and old boleros, along with classic romantic songs and the Ranchero style. Ana is a lover of the operas and tangos and the dramatic shows that she attends. Her mother taught her to sing. However, she began more intensive vocal training with Flavio Belcerra at 16 when the singer was famous as a Mexican opera tenor. She studied in Guadalajara at the School of Music of University of Guadalajara before moving on to Toluca in the School of Sacred Music. The singer performed throughout Guadalajara, Mexico City and different cities when she was a young musician and student. After moving into America, United States, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then in 2002 she relocated to southern California. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and sings Latin American traditional music solo at many private events. She has been involved with a number of local organizations, both as a teacher and performer because of her enthusiasm for art and music. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana is thankful for the opportunity to share her love and passion of traditional Latin American songs with others and, in the process hopes to instill a sense of to, particularly in the younger age group in order to keep this music vibrant and alive.Viva Mexico!
