MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His music has been able to make significant progress towards Latin pop. In 2017, his 2016 hit Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. In Medellin, Sony distributed La Industria Inc. and also released ADN as his debut full-length album. It reached the number 8 spot in the Top Latin Albums chart. He then became part of Ozuna on his Top Five smash Vaina Loca. He was a part of the team alongside Noriel for Mala Influencia in the year 2020, and next year, dropped his sophomore album charting Dopamina. In 2021, he performed as a duo TINI to perform her online track Maldita Foto. The smash hit La Bachata from 2000 was released in 2023. Turizo is from an instrumental background. Both his mother and elder brother are also musicians. In interviews, he has stated that music is a must. In his childhood he was taught to perform on the guitar, piano as well as the ukulele. The first goal was to be Veterinarian, however after his brother Julian encouraged him to take lessons with a Cuban singer, he changed career plans.
